Tess Pics

Back to School pictures = Target Studio pictures for us. I just don't really love the school pictures. I've seen enough of them through the years to know that even the very cutest kids don't look their best in those LifeTouch photos. Plus, they are such a rip-off! I just order the smallest package so that I can get the class photo, but other than that, we go to Target for their cheap-o $3.99-per-sheet pictures (which are always cute, and you get to choose which poses you like!) OK, enough of my rant...here are a few of Tess's 1st grade Target pics. She's getting so big! I love how these pictures really show off her fun new grown-up teeth in the front.

Fall Hike

We wanted to take advantage of the gorgeous weather that we've been having by taking a family hike in the canyon.  We were thinking of a trail up by SnowBasin, but unfortunately when we got there we realized that it was the day of the X-Terra Triathlon and the trail was closed off.  Luckily Bryan knew of another hike above PineView Reservoir and it was also very beautiful.  Bree did great in the Snugli and we all had a lovely time.
I didn't want Bree's little head to get sunburned, so here she is sporting her cute sun-bonnet.

Here are a few more recent pictures of Bree.  She is getting so big!  She has started using the exersaucer; she's not quite sure what to think of it yet--she can't really grasp things yet, so she mostly just looks at stuff and wobbles back and forth.  I know she'll love it a lot more when she can actually play with the toys in there.

However, she HAS sort of figured out how to hold her bottle when Bryan feeds her. And, unfortunately she has figured out how to yank the binky out of her mouth. Mind you, she doesn't know how to put it back in, but she can take it out. And then cry because her binky is gone. And then yank it again once it's been replaced....  and so on.

Giggle!

I have had a wonderful day today...first of all, it was my turn to teach Miles' preschool class at our house and it went great!  There are 6 little kiddos in his class and it was a blast.  They are very smart, very sweet kids.  Second, I had a good visit and lunch with a friend.  Third--my favorite--is what happened in this video:
