A little disturbing...?

Tess has told us before about a recurring nightmare that she has.  In it, there is a sheep or lamb that has bones for legs and its head has been cut off.  There is blood on it and it just hops around saying "bap, bap, bap."  I thought that it was strange and disturbing and I have no idea where those images could have come from?!  But at least it's not some scary monster or person trying to chase her or hurt her in the dream.  I haven't thought too much more about it, until today I found this in her backpack:
Let's look a little more closely, shall we?
And here's a close-up of the actual assignment:  "Draw a picture of something you dream would happen in our world."  Now, I'm sure she doesn't understand the magnitude or meaning of Martin Luther King's speech; she was just drawing a dream that she's had.  But it does kind of make the whole picture a little more morbid, doesn't it?
I guess looking on the bright side, it's a good drawing, with specific details.  I especially like the arrows below the bony legs, showing that it's jumping up and down.

Should I be worried?

Happy Birthday Bryan!

Bryan turned 32 on Sunday.  I tease him about his age and call him "old," but he knows that my teasing can't really hold water since I'm 2 years older than him.  He never lets me forget it either, so I have to tease him when I can.

For his birthday he got a new rifle.  He's been out shooting it a few times, but with all the new snow, it's harder to go outside for shooting.  So I took him to a shooting range for his birthday.  He was able to shoot his rifle (which was deafening inside the small shooting range!), and then we also shot a pistol.  I've never shot a handgun before and I must admit that I didn't really like it very much.  I had no idea that a handgun would have a "kickback" like a rifle does.  Except with a rifle you feel the kickback in your shoulder, which isn't too enjoyable, but at least I expect it.  With the handgun I was shocked to feel my whole hand/wrist/arm fling upward each time I fired.  I must not be strong enough to hold it still or something.  It's not the same as it looks on all those TV cop shows!  Anyway, it was a fun day.  Happy Birthday to you, Bryan!  I love you!!

Go Grizzlies!

Last night we went to the Grizzlies hockey game.  It was a lot of fun!  Miles and Tess thought that the players were pretty cool, but their favorite things were the Zamboni (that's still one of my favorite things to watch at a hockey game, too.  Don't you think it would be awesome to drive one?)  and they also loved to do the clap/chants (like "We Will Rock You.")  They would get very excited and concentrate hard to get their knee slap, clap, chant just right.  Bree was a trooper, as usual.  She is such an easy-going baby.  She just watched the game happily and even fell asleep on Bryan's lap....that is until the Grizzlies scored and they blared the horns and music, and the audience screamed and cheered and shook their cowbells.  She awoke with such a jolt I thought that she would start screaming for sure...but she just looked at us with a "what the heck is going on?" look and then started watching the game again.  It was a fun time, and the Grizzlies won 6-3!

Our Gals...

I was uploading some new photos of Bree, and one of them looked so familiar...I knew I had seen a very similar one before.  Check these out:

The top one is Tess, at 9 months old; the bottom one is Bree, at almost 7 months old.  Other than the different hair lengths, I don't think I could tell them apart!  I sure love these sweet little gals.
