Here are a few random bamatamb happenings this month...
First, Bree had a playdate with her friend Norah, and the cute girls decided to make a message for their moms, using their toys. I loved getting this sweet picture texted to me out of the blue!
Bryan went to Louisville, Kentucky for work and had a few free hours before he flew home, so he checked out the Louisville Slugger baseball bat factory and museum. He said it was really interesting to see them make the bats (which are all still made by hand today.) And he learned the story behind the Louisville Slugger name...apparently there was a famous baseball player in the 1880s named Pete Browning who played for Louisville and had the nickname "Louisville Slugger." During one game he hit the ball so hard, his bat broke, and a young boy watching in the stands invited Browning to his father's woodworking shop and said his dad would make Pete a new bat. Pete went, and told the father exactly what he wanted and the bat was so great that word got out and all the players eventually went to the same shop to get their bats custom-made. (There, didn't you want a little baseball history today? You're welcome.)
Here are a few shots of our little silly Bree. She never fails to make me smile with her outfits and accessories.
Miles's 3rd grade teachers had a big party on St. Patrick's Day and I had fun helping out at one of the stations. Here is Miles doing the cup stacking competition.
Probably the most exciting "happening" this month is Bree learning how to ride her 2-wheeler! Woohoo! Bryan is a great teacher and she did really well for him. Her training wheels were old and crappy and would get all bent every time she rode, so I just figured they had to go! She worked really hard and she got it! We were very proud of her.
