Just a few more random photos from this month...
I went with Bree to a Joy School field trip to a local movie theater. They showed us the projection room with the old film. (It's kind of funny that the field trip with the equipment they have now would be pretty boring...the only interesting thing they can show us up there in the booth is the old stuff, the giant reels of film. Ha!) And they showed us the concessions and the big popcorn maker then we got to have some popcorn and watch some trailers in the theater. We even saw a few 3D trailers; Bree thought the glasses were pretty cool.
We have had the craziest weather this month! It has been warm and dry and gorgeous for February, with several days in the 60s. So one afternoon we wanted to walk to the park and here's Bree's get-up for our walk. (Maybe she's hoping she'll need those warm winter gloves? As for me, I'm loving the warmth!)
Tess got a Jenga game for Christmas and she and Miles have enjoyed playing it together. One day they got every single middle block out so you could see all the way down to the floor through the top. They asked me to take a photo of it. :)
Miles's class made these really cute snow globe pictures that I wanted to remember, so I snapped a photo. They decorated a winter scene and added little sparkly confetti and then glued a clear plastic plate over the top to be the globe. His caption says, "If I lived in a snow globe I would have an ultimate snowball fight." (Everything to Miles right now is "ultimate!" It's cute.)
The Cub Scout Blue & Gold Banquet was this month. Miles won't be 8 until December, but they invited him since he will be joining scouts this year. The theme was space (if you're wondering about the cubmaster dressed as an astronaut) and they got these cute favors that looked like rockets, and they were filled with bite-size Milky Way candy bars.
Miles has been playing Jr. Jazz for the past several weeks. He has improved so much since last year! We were so proud of him. It was lots of fun to see the kids get better and better; there were still the occasional times that a player would just pick up the ball and run all the way down the court (dribbling is so hard for these Kindergarten & 1st grade kids!), but for the most part they are really starting to get the hang of the game. Miles even got several "hoops" this season. I love how he calls getting a basket "making a hoop!"
After his last game we had no plans and since it was Saturday we decided to take a drive and do something fun. We drove up to Logan and drove past our old apartments and our condo where we lived when Tess was born and then ate at a favorite restaurant (we wanted to go to LaBeau's but sadly it's closed! But Papa Kelsey's moved into the old LaBeau's and we like their food too, so it worked out ok.) After that we went to Gossner's for milk and cheese (always have to stock up!) and then up to Richmond to Casper's Ice Cream. Yum! Their shake sizes are funny...instead of small-medium-large, they call them "not enough," "almost," and "just right!"
Bryan loves Richmond. He would love to live in Richmond or Lewiston, which are both teeny tiny farm towns. He would want to live with all the cows and no neighbors. Ha!
Here we are chowing down on our yummy treats.
