Tess's class was preparing for a field trip to the Ogden Ice Sheet and I knew Bryan would be perfect to go with her! He loves ice skating (and is better at it than I am) so I was happy that he could take a few hours off work and spend it with Tess. They had a great time.
Tess is such an athletic, coordinated girl! She can do all sorts of physical things very easily...things that have always been hard for me. I was just a little bookworm/couch potato as a child. I'm so glad that she takes after Bryan in this respect. She never gives up until she masters something. She's my spunky gal! -- (That's how Ramona Quimby was always described in the Beverly Cleary books and it fits Tess perfectly. She's actually like Ramona in lots of ways. Those books are some of my very favorites and I loved reading them with Tess, my very own spunky gal.)
