January Happenings

We had lots of fun things going on in January.  First, we continued the Terry family tradition of Bingo.  Bryan's grandpa was born on New Year's Day so for a fun birthday celebration they started the tradition of playing Bingo on New Year's Eve.  As the family has gotten so much bigger, and Grandma & Grandpa Terry have passed away, the tradition kind of died out.  But Bryan's Mom & Dad brought it back this year!  Not on New Year's, but on a Saturday in January and it was so much fun.  Everyone brings a bunch of small gifts and plops them in the middle of the table and then we play Bingo!  Pretty simple, but really fun nonetheless.

Snow Basin ski resort offered an awesome deal this year for all 1st-6th graders to ski FREE!  Including a half-day lesson and lunch!  How cool is that?  So Bryan took the 2 big kids up and they had a great time.  Tess's 5th grade class got to go skiing again a few weeks later for a field trip so she's double-lucky.

Bryan was able to get a depredation tag for a cow elk on his buddy's property in Morgan.  He and Miles got one and so now our freezer is full again!  Good thing we like elk meat because those suckers are big--lots of meat!

We got a Jeep this Fall.  It's kind of like our family's version of a Razor ATV.  We're getting too big to fit on the motorcycle & 4-wheeler all together, so this way we can still off-road but be together.  On Bryan's days off he always goes and does fun things with Bree (I'm usually at the school doing PTA stuff, so I'm glad to not have to drag poor Bree along.  She gets sick of going to the school with me.)  This time Bryan took Bree up to the top of the mountain above Bountiful.

Miles's Baptism

On January 2nd Miles chose to be baptized.  He is such a great example to me!  He really knows right from wrong and he lets us know (kindly) when we are choosing something wrong.  He keeps us on the straight and narrow!

Bryan baptized and confirmed Miles.  It was a special day for us!

Miles was the only one from our ward being baptized that day so he got to choose the entire program. Among his choices were two of his sweet cousins.  Matthew said a wonderful prayer and Kade gave the perfect talk about the Holy Ghost.  Miles is lucky to have such great examples!

We were blessed to have many family members and friends attend Miles's special day.  Here are some of the Jensen side...

...and some of the Terry side.
A great day!
