We had lots of fun things going on in January. First, we continued the Terry family tradition of Bingo. Bryan's grandpa was born on New Year's Day so for a fun birthday celebration they started the tradition of playing Bingo on New Year's Eve. As the family has gotten so much bigger, and Grandma & Grandpa Terry have passed away, the tradition kind of died out. But Bryan's Mom & Dad brought it back this year! Not on New Year's, but on a Saturday in January and it was so much fun. Everyone brings a bunch of small gifts and plops them in the middle of the table and then we play Bingo! Pretty simple, but really fun nonetheless.
Snow Basin ski resort offered an awesome deal this year for all 1st-6th graders to ski FREE! Including a half-day lesson and lunch! How cool is that? So Bryan took the 2 big kids up and they had a great time. Tess's 5th grade class got to go skiing again a few weeks later for a field trip so she's double-lucky.
Bryan was able to get a depredation tag for a cow elk on his buddy's property in Morgan. He and Miles got one and so now our freezer is full again! Good thing we like elk meat because those suckers are big--lots of meat!
We got a Jeep this Fall. It's kind of like our family's version of a Razor ATV. We're getting too big to fit on the motorcycle & 4-wheeler all together, so this way we can still off-road but be together. On Bryan's days off he always goes and does fun things with Bree (I'm usually at the school doing PTA stuff, so I'm glad to not have to drag poor Bree along. She gets sick of going to the school with me.) This time Bryan took Bree up to the top of the mountain above Bountiful.
