We had a wonderful Christmas! We enjoyed Christmas Eve at Bryan's sister's home with her family and with Gramma & Grampa Terry. The kids always love to play with cousins and we had a great ham dinner. Then we played games afterward and had a fun time.
Then home for the Christmas Eve traditions. First, opening our new jammies, followed by opening our new family game.
Christmas morning excitement, checking out what Santa brought and inspecting stockings...
All the kids get a new book every year...
Almost all our boxes were wrapped in Amazon boxes this year. Gone are the days of nice clothing boxes with pretty lids and here to stay are the days of re-used Amazon boxes!
We went to our church service at 11:00 and enjoyed lots of beautiful songs by the choir. Then back home and a visit from G&G T.
The thing that Bree wanted more than anything was a jewelry box (when she originally made her list, she didn't specify that the jewelry box was the most coveted item...but as the month of December went on, she started talking more and more about it. Unfortunately, Mom & Dad had finished shopping and I didn't think Santa was going to bring one either. So, I think Bree was a little heartbroken when there was no jewelry box Christmas morning. Luckily, I knew what G&G T had shopped for and they saved the day with the jewelry box! Yippee!)
A remote control airplane...
...and a remote control helicopter were also great gifts.
Then we headed up to Papa's house for more fun and family time. Bree loved her new radio/CD player...
...Miles got a cool remote control Jeep...
...and Tess got her waterproof watch and money to spend.
As we played games, we noticed Dasher--or was it Dancer? maybe Vixen?--walking through the golf course behind Papa's house. Hopefully he found his way back to the North Pole that night.
Merry Christmas everyone!
